FAQ
Is a US size 6 the same as a UK 10?
In most women's charts, yes: UK sizes usually run four numbers above US sizes, so US 6 corresponds to UK 10, EU 36, FR 38 and IT 42. Individual brands can differ by a size.
Why are Italian sizes so much higher?
Italian women's sizing uses a different number scale, typically six numbers above the German/Dutch EU scale. An IT 42 is roughly an EU 36, not a larger garment.
How do men's suit sizes convert?
US and UK jacket sizes are the chest measurement in inches. EU and Italian sizes are roughly ten higher, so a US/UK 40 is about an EU 50.
Are the conversions exact?
No. They are based on common reference charts. Every brand cuts differently, so treat the result as a starting point and check the brand's size guide.
